Our Privacy Policy explains:
- What information we collect and why we collect it.
- How we use that information.
We like to keep things simple and in a nutshell we only keep information that allows our website to offer you its full services whilst you are using our website. We don't set cookies on your computer beyond the session cookies required if you wish to book a stand on-line or download an exhibitor pack from the exhibitor's area. We never sell or give any data that we hold to any third party.
We also need your name and address to raise invoices and send tickets
etc. to you. We need your phone number and email address to communicate
with you in the normal manner of modern communications.
Information that we collect
We collect information in a couple of ways:
- Information that you give us such as your name address and other personal data when you enter a show on-line, by email, post or over the phone. This data is only accessed by us and is not sold or shared with any third parties
- Information that we collect such as IP address you visited us from, the date you visited us and other log style information. This information is mainly kept to allow us to meet our legal obligations and to enhance our service to our customers. Again this information is never sold or shared with any third party.
How long we keep your data
We will only retain your personal data for as long as:
- It is needed for the purposes of organising the events you have
entered or expressed an interest in.
- The law requires us to.
Where your data is kept
Your data is stored on our own servers in the UK. It is protected by
a seven foot gorilla called Albert who you don't want to meet in a dark
alley.
How we protect your data and keep it secure.
We are committed to doing all that we can to keep your data secure.
We have set up systems and processes to prevent unauthorised access or
disclosure of your data – for example, we protect your data using
varying levels of encryption.
We also have Albert.
Your rights.
You have the right to request:
- Information about how your personal data is processed.
- A copy of that personal data.
- That anything inaccurate in your personal data is corrected
immediately
You may also:
- Raise an objection about how your personal data is processed
- Request that your personal data is erased if there is no longer a
justification for it
- Ask that the processing of your personal data is restricted in
certain circumstances.
If you have any of these requests, get in contact with our Data
Protection Officer.
